[05.23.11] Mulch!

I seem to be liking the one-word titles with exclamation points.  Anyhow, I saw this massive mound of mulch and thought how interesting a blog photo it would make.  Actually, it isn't really a very interesting picture at all, but it serves for May 23.  The twenty-third of May is never an interesting day, never has been, and probably never will be, as we all know.

[05.22.11] Stop!

When driving through a gate/checkpointish thing, I saw this sign that seemed so cool and foreboding, so of course, I thought "Aha! Blog material!"  Pretty cool, eh?

[05.21.11] The Mammoth Menace

Today I was at the dump (off 7th North, by the Pilot gas station) and observed this mammoth menace dealing with the debris in the main recycling building.  I love the cool metal wheels that are just big steel rims and studs.  Wouldn't want to be run over by that!!

[05.20.11] Make Way for the Ducklings!

The title is a small tribute to one of my all-time favorite children's books, Make Way for the Ducklings.  Of course the title is also a very fitting caption for this photo, taken at Onondaga Lake.

[05.19.11] Greasy Geese Goose Gathering

Yes, the ridiculous title is in no way related to a goose and some goslings, but it is a tribute to my love for alliteration that I have had since I was quite young, which was when I coined the cockamamy phrase above.
p.s. This shot was taken at my very own Onondaga Lake. :)

[05.18.11] Exit

I want to once again commemorate Valley Pool, Syracuse, NY, as the place I've learned to swim.  As today is my last day of lessons, I thought I would take a shot of the exit sign in the locker room.  I'll miss you Valley Pool!

[05.17.11] I Love Trees!

When out walking, I was this beautiful tree and snapped a shot.  What a nice spring day!
