As I mentioned in the June 1 blog post, I took so many photos that I thought you'd like, I dedicated a whole page to them.
The first thirteen are of Boldt Castle, in the Thousand Islands, and following are a few selections from my prolific shooting at Buttermilk Falls in Ithaca, NY.
Enjoy! And by all means, please tell me what you think!
Here is one of the first views I ever had of the splendid Boldt Castle, on Heart Island.
When you visit, you will find excellently and meticulously tended gardens with an
charming heart motif.
Here is the pinnacle of all the gardens' themes.
The Main Entrance to Boldt Castle.
As the main doors were for some unknown reason closed, we found our way around the
porch to another entrance. This porch was a beautiful work of wood and stone, as is
obvious in this photo.
Once inside, a several-story atrium with a stained-glass window at the top greets you.
Ornate and detailed work is to be found on the railings, on picture frames, and even in
the ceiling.
This light caught my eye with its warm and mellow color tone, as well as the
matching colors on the ceiling above.
When returning outside, we saw even more of the castle's external splendor. Here are
several shots from around the grounds:
And finally, a fiendish fountain filling a pool of a deathly blue hue.
Here now are some shots I took at Buttermilk Falls. I took a great deal; now I will share
a few of my favorites.
Thanks to my mom for taking this shot of the random photographer in his element: the outdoors.
That's all for now folks! As I said above, please comment and tell me what you think!
