[04.13.11] A couple of grumpy old men

Well, they're actually a couple of chayote squash, but I think they look like some toothy old guys.  The taste:  something between a cucumber, pear, apple, and zucchini.  I like it!

[04.08.11] A Vegan Dinner!

On the table is Bulgar Surprise (bulgar is a grain similar to wheat), raw marinara sauce with raw zucchini noodles, Better-Than-Butter spread (see yesterday's post), vegan Alfredo sauce with marinated Shitaki mushrooms and more zucchini noodles, and a kale salad.  One of the most succulent and scrumptious meals I've ever had!  Who knew vegan could taste so good?

Today, my mom's new juicer finally came!  We are all very excited about it, her being the most, especially because it is quite easy to clean (always a plus).
